A New Chapter for Aristech: Together with Almato, We Are Building a Leading European AI Stack
We’ve made an important decision—and we’re excited to share it with you today: Aristech is joining Almato AG, the European specialist in AI-powered semantic data platforms and a subsidiary of DATAGROUP SE. Together, we’re creating an integrated, independent European AI stack for conversational AI, AI agents, and semantic intelligence.
For us, this isn’t a farewell, but a deliberate next step—one that we actively sought out.
Stronger Together: Aristech and Almato
Almato AG, one of Europe’s leading specialists in semantic data integration and explainable reasoning and a subsidiary of DATAGROUP SE, is merging with Aristech GmbH. Through this merger, the two companies are combining their technologies to jointly create an integrated European AI stack for semantic intelligence, conversational AI, and AI agents. Through the acquisition of Aristech, Almato is expanding its AI-powered semantic data platform, Bardioc, with field-proven solutions for automated interactions via voice, email, and chat. The goal is to create a robust, GDPR-compliant alternative for companies and organizations that want to use AI securely, transparently, and in accordance with European data protection and security requirements.
The focus is on a comprehensive technological approach from Germany and Europe: from the semantic structuring, linking, and analysis of business-critical data to automated communication within specific processes. With Bardioc, Almato provides an explainable semantic database that enables information from various sources to be linked in a context-aware manner, evaluated in a transparent way, and made usable for AI-powered automation. The Aristech AI Suite enables operational interaction via AI agents, voice, email, and chat applications. This creates an AI stack that combines digital sovereignty, GDPR-compliant operations, and practical automation without forcing companies into opaque dependencies on global platforms.
The transaction was notarized on May 21, 2026. There are no antitrust concerns. Aristech will continue to exist as a brand, with its Heidelberg location and under the operational leadership of the current management team.
