CEO / Founder
Carolin Edler-Mende has been active as an IT entrepreneur for over twelve years and her experience shapes Aristech's strategic direction. Her vision is to develop European AI technology that makes interaction between humans and machines natural, intuitive, and responsible. She believes it is important not only to use AI, but to truly understand it—and to apply it precisely where it can relieve people and support processes in a meaningful way. She regularly shares this knowledge in practical lectures, in which she explains complex topics in an understandable way and shows how AI can be of real benefit in everyday life.
With her passion for technology and entrepreneurship, she is driving the further development of voice AI and is committed to ensuring that Europe retains its technological sovereignty. As a mother of three daughters, she is also committed to diversity in the IT industry and to improving work-life balance. Her goal is to help shape an AI world that is powerful yet remains responsible, inclusive, and human. This combination of strategic thinking, technological depth, and social commitment continues to shape her role at Aristech today.
Michael Mende
CTO / Founder
Michael Mende is CTO and responsible for the technical development of the company's AI systems. After studying German language and literature, he discovered computational linguistics and computer science, a combination that continues to shape his understanding of language and technology to this day. He ensures that Aristech solutions are not only intelligent, but also secure, scalable, and GDPR-compliant. For him, technology must not only function, but also tangibly advance companies in their everyday business. His goal is to develop European AI that is technologically leading and at the same time understandable, controllable, and sustainable.
His experience in entrepreneurship and over ten years of research in language technology, including at IBM, flows directly into Aristech's overall technical strategy and shapes the quality of the platform. In his free time, he continues to devote himself to language: he writes dialect pieces and is known far beyond Heidelberg for his book “Kurpfalz Impressionen” (Kurpfalz impressions). This combination of technical excellence and cultural sensitivity shows how dynamic language can be in both analog and digital form.
